Great value, with mild roughness up close.
I don't own Layton, so I am just going by my frame of reference, and to me this is a winner.
Very good value, with some roughness in the base.
The woody amber note is a little harsh up close, but in the air the scent is pleasant and versatile.
4/5 ... Just because it's not my favorite Lalique fragrance ...
Smells fresher and lighter than Layton but I would recommend Detour Noir
